Books Are Better Than Movies

With summer fast approaching and the price of movie tickets slowly going up, you may be wondering what kind of activity you could engage in that will give you the same amount or even more enjoyment that going to the movies. Reading is an activity that will give you more pleasure than you think. And the best part is, books are less expensive, provide more hours of enjoyment and can give you a greater sense of satisfaction.

Where do you think movies come from?  They come from books and scripts of course. Movies are condensed versions of books. Instead of having to wait years for the next part of your favorite movie to come out, you can find out what is going to happen next as soon you as you purchase the book in the series.

Since books are usually the first time many characters make their appearance into the world, you’ll find that many movies often deviate from the storylines in that are in the books. If you have fallen in love with a particular character after reading about them, and then decide to go see how that character is portrayed in a movie, don’t be surprised or disappointed if they are not the same character you’ve grown to love.

Movies are subject to the interpretation of the director and in many cases, they will change vital components in an effort to please actors or critics. Think about the last time you went to see a movie and by the time it was over, you felt like you wasted your money. So the next time you decide to go to see a movie, why not go to your local bookstore in TN to purchase the book so you have a better idea of what the movie is about.
